Sarah and Will's day was the sunniest, most golden October afternoon at the Allyn Lodge at Skaneateles Fields. It was the kind of day that you don't forget; it lingers in your memories, and I knew it was the perfect wedding to start my blogging this year.

The foliage was peaked to perfection, and the weather was warm and cozy. There was just enough breeze to rustle the leaves on the ground, and to give you the clearest air to breathe deeply. This was my first wedding at The Lodge, and I haven't stopped dreaming about it since.

The entire bridal party got ready on-site, so slipping back and forth between the girls and the guys was a breeze. Sarah was the sweetest human I've ever met-- she was just so happy to be surrounded by her best girls, and it was evident how adored she is. She was finishing hair and makeup when I arrived, and then she wanted her mom and future mother-in-law to help her into her dress.

Will had gifts for all of his groomsmen, and they were just so fun to be with. I love a good groomsman group! They were fun, silly, and hyped, but also so willing to do anything Sarah or Will (or myself!) needed to make the day go smoothly.

We really got so lucky with the fall colors-- we took bridal party portraits in front of a row of vibrantly orange trees. Three days later, Will went back to pick up the rest of their decor, and the leaves were completely gone, trees totally bare. He sent me a photo of it and none of us could believe how lucky we were!

Sarah and Will were married in front of the grandest set of floor to vaulted ceiling windows I've ever seen, overlooking a private pond. Sparklers shot off as they walked up the aisle, and we quickly had their marriage license signed and scooted away for some private photos.

A gorgeous fall wedding day was rounded out with the best dinner and reception. Truly, the party vibes were unmatched, and these are the moments that just make me so grateful to do what I do. To be able to hold witness for really special moments and days, to see how well people love each other.
