Katie is a talented documentary-style photographer herself, so I was thrilled when she reached out for a session with her husband and two kids. It's always such an honor to photograph another photographer for a multitude of reasons:
- It's a huge compliment! They must appreciate your style and art.
- Moms are rarely in photos. Photographers are rarely in photos. Moms that are photographers are never in photos. It's such a gift to be able to give these photos to another mom.
- I can be a little more artsy! A little more daring! Photographers appreciate the ultra candid, I think.
We met at Evangola State Park in Irving for this session and walked down to the beach. We started in the sand, and her two little kiddos were so sweet, and such great listeners. Once we had enough in the sand, we went in the water! So fun! Here's a little look into some of the most beautiful family photos that I've ever taken.
