Misty May Wedding in the Finger Lakes at Wingate Barn

When Ryan was accepted into the FDNY fire academy, he and Natalie found themselves adjusting their wedding plans a bit. They ended up celebrating a few months earlier than expected on a misty spring day at Wingate Barn in Livonia, NY. Tucked into the farmlands of the Finger Lakes, with soft rain and the kind of cozy energy that you just can't plan for.

Their wedding party was big, but honestly? Absolute dream group. Everyone was all in-- ready to help, celebrate, and surround Natalie and Ryan with so much love.

As they celebrate their first anniversary, it felt like the perfect time to revisit such a beautiful day.

A few of my favorite things about Natalie and Ryan's day:

Classic Wedding Attire
Natalie was the definition of a classic bride. Her satin dress, the blue floral shoes, that ring! Every detail was so thoughtfully chosen. I still think about this look all the time.
First looks on Conesus Lake
Natalie had three first looks at Vitale Park, right on the shores of Conesus Lake, with her dad, her grandfather, and finally with Ryan. Watching each of those moments was really special. One of my favorite memories is stepping through the light rain together as we left the park-- just leaning into the day as it was.
Garbage plates for a late night bite
A true Rochester staple. Such a fun, unexpected touch, and guests loved it. Madeline’s Catering absolutely nailed it with this one.

Natalie and Ryan,

I say this all the time, but I really mean it: thank you for trusting me with your day. From freezing through your engagement session to fully committing to a rainy wedding day, you two just rolled with everything, and it made for something really special. It was so clear, all day long, just how deeply loved you are by the people around you. I feel really lucky I got to be there for it.
